Response from the President of the Hunt Club Woods Homeowners Association to the Secretary and Treasurer regarding the above mentioned e-mail, involving the structures around Scuds Lake.

This letter serves as notification of record for the Hunt Club Woods Home Owners Association, that neither you nor anyone else representing themselves as a Board Member has the authority or approval to begin Demolition processes on the structures at Scuds Lake. This includes placing deposits, obtaining permits, and using funds from the Association and Capital Reserve accounts directly or indirectly related to demolition or removal of any structure, specifically the gazebo and pier.

The Village of Homer Glen recognizes the gazebo to be an approved structure. An issue exists regarding the pier and  the path leading to both structures.

The information that was mailed to the homeowners along with a voting ballot was not reviewed, approved, nor executed by the President of the Hunt Club Woods Home Owners Association. The ballot did not contain the Association P.O. Box number. Also, the return address had an incorrect P.O. Box number. The correct number is 813, not 13 as referenced on the envelope. By allowing only 6 days for return of ballots is an insufficient amount of time for the home owners to make an informed decision.
The information lacked specific data directly related to cost and unknown dollar amounts.

Under these circumstances it would be difficult at best to reach any conclusion regarding the gazebo and pier. The results from the ballots have not been disclosed and your recent attempt to obtain a demolition permit leads me to believe that you have come up with your own conclusion.

The Association must be informed of the decisions being made in our neighborhood.
Until accurate information is provided, the issue regarding the pier should be reconsidered through means of a valid voting process.

As President of the Hunt Club Woods Home Owners Association, I am calling a Special Meeting for the purpose of increasing the official number of persons serving on the Board and to openly discuss the status of the gazebo, pier and  recent vote.

The Association would benefit from an increase of 4 or 6 members to bring the total Board of Directors to 7 or 9, through an election of the voting members present at the Special Meeting.

The Special Meeting of the Hunt Club Woods Home Owners Association will take place on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 7 PM not later than 9 PM at the Old Town Hall located at 16057 Cedar Road, Lockport, Illinois 60441.

Supplemental information about this letter is available on our web site at www.huntclubwoods.com

Respectfully Submitted, this 24th day of September 2007.

Lisa Mikolajczak
President
Hunt Club Woods Homeowners Association

Lisa, we are in need of the site plan, that TJ had supplied to you, for the purpose of obtaining a permit for demolition.  Please drop a copy of the site plan off to my house by Friday, September 21, 2007, so that we may move forward with the demolition of the structures. Thank you. Sue Vitello
